Thermal Imaging Inspection

True South uses infrared technology as a non-invasive tool to observe temperature differences within the home that may not be visible to the naked eye. This process can help identify areas of missing or inconsistent insulation, potential air leakage, moisture-related patterns, and possible electrical anomalies that may warrant further evaluation.

01

What thermal imaging may reveal

Areas of missing or inconsistent insulation in walls and attics. Potential air leakage around doors, windows, and recessed lighting. Moisture-related temperature patterns behind drywall and around windows. Possible electrical anomalies such as unusual heat signatures at breakers or connections.

02

How it works

An infrared camera measures surface temperature variations across walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment. Thermal imaging is a visual aid only and does not confirm the presence, source, or extent of any condition. Anomalies observed may warrant further evaluation by a qualified specialist.

03

Included with every inspection

True South includes thermal imaging on every standard home inspection at no additional cost. Most Texas inspectors charge extra for it; True South doesn't.
